Of coure I also like Drizzt (who doesnt), Jarlaxle and Dragonbait (the Saurial Paladin)
The character I hate the most would be Regis, the halfling bard from "Azure bonds". I dont know why but I just hate halflings in general.
I believe you can get armor like that in 3ed. Not sure if in NWN. It would be rally cool. I was surprised when i read the first battle Pwent fought in the book. I expected him to have a battleaxe, but he just used his helmet and fists. Really cool.

I can't really make up my mind about a favourite TSR character. It would have to be from the Forgotten Realms setting as they are the only books I've read. Jarlaxle would have to be a favourite.
@blinki501: If I remember correctly, Pwent is from the Drizzt series, the guy with the spikey armour.

I like Drizzt very much, swinging with two scimitars... I always liked those swords very much. In BG2 my own character used two of them too, but now I prefer 1 scimitar and one axe...

Really loved Raistlin from the DL series. Drizzt was impressive at first, but now it seems like he is unable to fight anymore - he got hit in melee by Cattibrie???! After training in Melee Magthere for years? The idea of a drow ranger is still neat, but I prefer Entreri. Slowing as he may be, he'll still never take a hit from Cattibrie. I also enjoyed the Jack Ravenwild character from City of Ravens, although he'd need to be developed more before he could become a favorite.

Personally, I prefer Tanis Half-Elven from the Dragon Lance Series. He was just a cool character in the series, always calm, and cool, and a great leader. But when he flipped, it was always a good read.
I just finished the chronicles.
I liked the series. I like the stories, but i thought the first book was waaay better then the next two.
Alhtough it was interesting wit h Laurana and all in the 2 and beggining of 3rd book, i really didn't like her. Like it was earlier said, it was story driven so Laurana gt kind of boring. I was really disappoitned in Flint. He was a dwarf, but such a wimp. I know he had heart problems, but he never got any important kills.
I liked Tasslehoff alot and also Fizban and Raist. Caramon was better in the first book, the plainsmen were the same in all of them except as each book went, their roles got smaller and the elves' roles got larger.
Tanis was kind of interesting in the beggining but i think into the third book he became to much of an insane lover .

@Thorin: You are right about Tanis, and him becomeing insanily in love thing, but at the same time, he was also one of the only characters that developed in terms of character (Next to Raistlin and Tas) Also, I tend to identify with the leader of groups, as I'm usually thrust into that position...
For FR, I kind've liked Dinin. I know he didn't get much of the spotlight, but he was still a pretty cool Drow, as far as Drow go.

Yeah! Salvatore!
I have an insane obcestion with drow.
My favorite charactars have been: (all forgotten realms): Drizzt Do'Urden, Liriel Baenre, Zaknafien Do'Urden, Arilyn Moonblade, and Danica (I like monks). However, I love villains even more than heroes, so my all time favorite charactar in Jarlaxle, with a close runner-up of Artiemis Entreri.

I've read most of the Forgotten Realms stuff, and some of the Dragonlance. I really liked Drizzt, maybe because for some reason I connected him with Nightcrawler from the X-men. Not such a leap, when you think about it. Nightcrawler kinda looked like a dark elf, except for the hands, feet and tail, lol. Both were very agile. Mostly though, their character was the same. Outcasts, but they had accepted it and were very stoic about it. Both were extremely honorable and honest. Maybe it's just me.
I also liked Pikel Bouldershoulder from the Cleric Quintet. He was just freakin hilarous. Doo-dad!
One character that I'd like to know more about was King Azoun of Cormyr, mainly from before he was king. He was in one trilogy, but it was when he was older. I've always wanted to hear about his younger days. You don't get to be that much of a badass without there being some good stories.
From Dragonlance, my favorite was Sturm. I've always liked Cavalier/Knight/Paladin types. I also like thieves. Go figure.
I prefer FG over DL, but I have to admit, my favorite all time scene from a book was Tas polymorphed into a crab, chasing Flint around. I laughed out loud when I read that!

I always liked Tanis, Tas and Ariakan from DL. Wulfgar was the coolest in the Drizzt series. It's too bad about what they're doing to him now, sad to see a cool character get reduced to a drunken brawler. And what's with Drizzt NEVER losing a fight? He's taken on Greater Demons, a couple Drow High Priests and all sorts of crazy monsters. At first it was believable but c'mon, can't he ever lose a fight? Oh god, I really need a life
I thought DL books were much better story wise and were better written, but the Drizzt series was better for cheap entertainment cause the fights were better.

The only time i think he ever lost or was about to lose, was against Zaknafein, but those were at those sparring sessions or versus the wraith, whom drizzt did not want to fight.
I haven't read the newer books so i can't tell from them.
I really love Tasslehof, he who seems to survive everything. What the hell? This guy is in every dragonlance book by Weis and Hickman.
One of the saddest moments was when Flint died. I loved dwarves, but he was only 158 years old. Now i guess dwarves die younger in DL cause in FR Bruenor was already 200 and still had another century or two in him.
Okay Flint did have a weak heart, but they always made him look usless. He never got any kills except a few draconians.
But i still loved the Chronicles.
My favorite moment has to be in "Siege of Darkness", when the Glaberzu takes out the negative magic coffer from a split second, and Bruenor is realeased and kills Baerne, and the whole moment. That was sooo cool.
Damn you have to love Tasslehof and all kenders.
No wonder we got so many fansites on them.
