What kind of dragon exactly is it that you fight/encounter in the pride trial in hell? I've seen it described as black, red, green and probably others. IIRC it looks sort of metallic/gold, but had a black or red dragon breath attack (can't remember which).
The first time through the game I actually "failed" the test and freaked out after seeing the dragon. I won despite having no preparation by turning into the Slayer while Viconia casted regen...a pretty sure way to kill a dragon...but I did lose half my party before resorting to the slayer.
The silver dragon is my favorite to fight. Not the toughest, but uses a lot of spells fairly intelligently, including healing spells. (Not that I kill her for her blood. Oh no. I'd never be tempted by armor with a measly +4 to saving throws and pitiful 20% magic resistance.)
The final dragon (late game spoilers)

There are two different dragons: If you take the "Good Path" and insist on knowing what type of creature it is, a silver dragon appears (well, that's what it's called, though due to the ambient lighting it doesn't lok very silver) and gives you the Tear. If you take the "Evil Path" and give in to fighting, a red dragon appears.
He seems to use different kinds of dragon breath, but I'm convinced it's a Gold dragon...
Since killing it is evil it must be metallic (or perhaps gemstone, but let's keep it simple) rather than chromatic...
So, we have Gold, Silver, Bronze, etc. We've already seen Silver and it doesn't look anything like her, so I'm going with Gold.

Just took another look at it last night. The head has horns similar to the Black Dragon's, but the neck has a fin like Adalon. Course I have no idea what that means or whether the designers were thinking about anything other than making them look cool.
It's name is just 'Dragon' so that doesn't help any. I do think the greenish color is supposed to be goldish, it seems they could have made it much more golden if they wanted.
