Christmas is a Christian holiday. Since Christianity doesn't exist in the Forgotten Realms, neither would Christmas.

I'm guessing that the closest Forgotten Realms would have to "Christmas" would be some kind of Winter Solstice celebration. If they did have something that was base on the "secular" side of Christmas, it would have a different name.

Hmm...there's a thought...transfering the idea of Saint Nick into Forgotten Realms, what god's priest would be most likely to take on a role such as that?

Auril's an evil goddess, though. I wouldn't imagine that festivals and celebrations would be part of her worship ;)

I'm referring to the story of how Christmas got started. Basically, to transfer it to Forgotten Realms, a priest of one of the gods would, on a certain date each year, go around giving out gifts to the children. If I'm remembering the gods correctly, perhaps a Priest of Ilmater(?)?

Sounds reasonable enough. I still don't think a widespread gift-giving holiday exists in the Forgotten Realms, but if it did it would probably be sponsored by Ilmater.
