help with Aerie romance in later stages (SPOILERS)

Post by Kameleon »

Can anyone give me a quick walkthrough of what is supposed to happen with Aerie and your baby? The last romance talk I had with her she wanted to keep her pregnancy a secret, wearing loose robes or something ("Hey Cespenar, you do alterations? Let out this Elven Chain a few feet, will you?" :D ).

But what is the next step? That talk happened after Sendai, but I've just killed Balthazar now and still nothing. Have I missed out a talk or do I just have to wait? Is there a trigger for the birth, i.e. the fifth challenge with the Ravager(haven't done that yet). Supposedly you can also get married - I haven't seen any signs of this either.

EDIT: I've currently got my computer just running the game unpaused with no input - see if there's anything else i missed or if this fixes it. Imoen just got special abilities too. I might just have to wait, but I don't fancy not playing for nine months... :p

I answered this question somewhere on this forum but: here it's again!

After Aerie get's pregnant she talks I think three more times to me.
1. I don't remember very good but she tells you to keep her pregnancy as a secret (or something).

2. Aerie and your hero marry. During my game it happened after I had beaten the Ravager.

3. During my fight with Mellisan after she returns to the mana shrine I paused the game for more than a hour. After that Aerie gave birth to a child. :)

I think the last two dialogues are based on REAL TIME not GAME TIME.

Hope you get some hinds.

I have a question.
I just installed TOB and decided to start a new TOB game. Is it still possible for the romances to start if you hadn't played SOA?

No. You have to start them way back in SOA. If you summon them, they act as if you were just aquaintences.
Cartoon Law III
Any body passing through solid matter will leave a perforation conforming to its perimeter. Also called the silhouette of passage, this phenomenon is the speciality of victims of directed-pressure explosions and of reckless cowards who are so eager to escape that they exit directly through the wall of a house, leaving a cookie-cutout-perfect hole. The threat of skunks or matrimony often catalyzes this reaction.

the 'marriage' dialogue always happens after defeating the Ravager.
her giving birth is time-triggered though. it's supposed to happen about 50-60 hours real-time after she becoms pregnant.
some people also report that it can also be triggered when sufficient amount of in-game time passes, two months I think.
