The end :-( ..................( spoiler! )

Post by Rob-hin »

I finally did it... the saga is over, no more going tru dungeons and fighting beasts I never heard of...at least till NWN!

What I wanted to ask, when I finisch the game I notised there are 3 endings.
So I played again, I now have ending 1 and 3, but they are the same movie.
Is End movie 2, the same movie but again with differend tekst? (probably the evil ending I think)

Thanx

There is three endings to the game:
1. Taking the throne and becoming a evil god.
2. Taking the throne and becoming a good God
3. Not taking the throne and becoming mortal
The two choices you get is decided back when you are talking with the Solar. when she asks you about killing stuff to win, and you say yeah sure I can do that then you get the evil choice and the mortal choice.

And if you take a new party each time, you get to see fresh NPC epilogues.

Excellent stuff :)

A 300 hundred hours worth of play for one run through, at least (of the entire series), and it's all over.

*sniff*

It'll be a long time before we see anything on this scale again I bet.

It's sad actually... I invested so much time, and energy into the game, and now that its over, it feels like something inside of me is missing... Sigh...

If I asked, would you answer? Its your problem. Its a deep, deep problem. I have no way to ask about that... I have no elegant way of stepping into your heart without tracking in filth. So I will wait. Someday, when you want to tell me, tell me then. -Bleach

Ah yes but just think, one day we'll look back and laugh at how primative an RPG it was :)

Just hang in there and wait for the game of the future :)

When I finished BG2 I didn't think I'd be able to find an RPG that I could get into as much, but PST got me, so it's possible :)

Very soon now, a completely re-written ending with hundreds of hours of work will be made available for download. The programming was done by David Gaider and the rest of IEEAIS. It looks like it will be lots of fun, and very hard.

Were you beta-testing it, @Spork?

Yes, I am testing parts of it, and several of us are in contact with DG pretty regularly, sending him feedback and/or code. I don't want to draw too much attention to the unreleased stuff because it looks like the thing already has some pretty thurough testers, and the release time should be pretty soon anyway. I only mentioned it because I keep seeing people who are done with ToB and sound ready to exit the boards. I want to urge those people that there will soon be more to do in ToB (and it will be very cool), so keep your saved games, and check back here in two weeks or so. I'm sure David will announce the release here when it's done.

I played BGII SoA without playing BGI and then I played the expansion and it all ends. Where do I go after that? Play the game where it all starts-BGI! Once I finish that I have no idea where to go. Icewind Dale was a big disappointment-for me anyway. It was a great series and I think I speak for almost everyone and say it will be missed.
“Caw, Caw!” The call of the wild calls you. Are you listening? Do you dare challenge their power? Do you dare invade? Nature will always triumph in the end.

You can edit the balur.ini file to give access to all the cutscenes. Look in the movies list.
