my game has gone nuts its grown a brain and has decide it hates me, it randomly shuts down on me, anytime, anywhere, and ususally right after a quest or afight, its bad, very bad,
so anyway, this didnt start happening until i began trying to edit files and cutomizae stuff, has anyone heard of this before? is it a glitch or could i have messed something up?
anybody with any suggestions i could reslly use em

my suggestion is a last resort especially if you are far in the game, past 4th chapter.
uninstall the game and reinstall the "full" game, and download the "BG2EnglishPatch"(it's a zip, extraxt it into the folder BG2 was installed in and run the .exe program, then it should be good as new. Mine used to kind of pause and go, pause and go, which was annoying so i did it. helped totally, plus the patch helps alot of little things in the game.

You might save the savegame folder that has your most recent game, then uninstall, reinstall, and move that folder back into its proper directory.

What kind of editing have you done? Perhaps, the editing was a bit unprofessional (no offense). I suggest the following:
1. Drop all edited stuff (if you have edited items, etc.)
2. Enter an inn and rest several times (so that the dropped stuff is removed from the game). Save and quit the game.
3. Catch your CD and replace the edited files by the unedited ones from the CD.
4. Restart the game.
If it does not work then you must reinstall the whole game.
