If you do a ranger cleric duel class , and the ranger reached at least 8th lvl , then yes you get the druid spells included.

Actually, I think Mr. Sprinkles is referring to the resistances of such garnered by the druids constant exposure to the outdoors. So no, you get none, but you WILL get spells. Natures beuty is good.

Is it better to be a dual classed Ranger/Cleric or a Multi-Class? If dual class, at what level shall I dual class?

Unless you play with a party of six multi is much better. If still want to dual then you should dual at level 7. This is because a high level cleric has better thac0 than a midlevel fighter.

But a warrior has more hit points and gets a full con bonus, and at levels 7 and 13 additional 1/2 attacks are gained.
Just the HP make it worth to go up to level 9 at least, since getting there is soooo cheap (well, in the computer at least)
Being an Evil Overlord seems to be a good career choice. It pays well, there are all sorts of perks and you can set your own hours. However every Evil Overlord I've read about in books or seen in movies invariably gets overthrown and destroyed in the end. I've noticed that no matter whether they are barbarian lords, deranged wizards, mad scientists or alien invaders, they always seem to make the same basic mistakes every single time. Therefore, if I ever happen to become an Evil Overlord, ...

I always duel at 8th to get the druid spells , and you only lose 4 hps going from 8th to 9th as a cleric instead of a ranger.

You get druid spells even if you dual at level 7 and the difference in hp is not big but the wait is much longer if you dual at 9. If you play under the cap in SoA there is absolutely no reason to dual at level 9 instead of seven. If you are playing under the ToB cap then perhaps level 13 is better. But in ToB you can always get the gauntlets of extraordinary specialization to make up for the loss of an extra half attack.

How about If I dual at Level 10? I get all the HP bonuses and the d10 hitpoints a ranger rolls.

Another questions: Would a Multi-Class Ranger/Cleric tank better than a Dual-Class?
I am after a Tank you can castspells basically :D .... alot of them :p

@ Mr. Sprincles.
Who cares If you don't get the high level Druid abilities. You can only cast one Greater Elemental anyway and Tranformations are crap if you really think about it... :D

Well a multiclassed ranger/cleric gets whirlwinds and greater whirlwinds so he/she is a much better tank. However if you are in a party of six you wont get to the really high levels that you would as a dualclassed ranger/cleric. Meaning you wont explode every undead you see.

I'd still dual at 9 under the SoA cap. You fly up to level 10 Cleric anyway. Disarm a trap - gain a level. Read a scroll - gain a level. Kill a Troll - gain a level... Run around Umar Hills - bingo, you're level 10.

Dual at level 13 to get 1/2 extra attack and the stealth points are nice too.
There is still room to level 36 for the cleric.
Multiclass gets a bit lower life and only to level 23, so turning undead doesnt work for all undead, but still for the most.
Mind that there is no spell progression after level 20 so your multi cleric is as powerfull as the dual cleric, but your multi fighter gets whirlwinds! your dual fighter not.

Ranger/Cleric problem

I recently created a beast master to give them a try, and I decided I want to dual into a cleric. Every tiem I try, I pick cleric for class, assign weapon proficiencies, and click done. Then it says some items will be dropped, I click dual class, and the game freezes. Any idea why this is happening and/or how to remedy it? Any help would be appreciated. I do'nt know if it makes any difference but I have downloaded the "safe" XP cap remover. I've tried dual classing at level 15, 20, and 39.
