Solo sorcerer in TOB?

I'm playing one through SOA atm, I was just wondering how i can expect him to do once i get to TOB? has anyone played through it solo with a sorc? is it possible? hard? any tips?

I've only completed TOB once with a very melee heavy party so i'm unsure what to expect.

Plenty folks have and its alot easier than you think. Just don't be afraid to use some cheesy techniques once and a while. There is prolly no single spell repitoire that you couldn't possiblely make work, but have'n a buncha save or else spells and no debuffs is shooting yourself in the foot. Also stay away from stuff that doesn't have a decent save pentalty. Don't be afraid to use invis spells to avoid some fights early on too. Golems and such rank pretty high on that list.

Since its you vs the world grab some decent area effect dmg spells. I'd alway use skull trap rather than fireball and make'n use of wands(sell and buy back) really makes it alot easier when goin through the begining of SOA.

All my sorcs have every clone type spell they can get. Mirror image, mislead, project image, and Simularcum. All of which are insanely powerful no matter what level, tho Simularcum doesn't come into its own until TOB, otherwise you'll just use it to cast stuff from scrolls.

Also, if your wisdom is high enough, you'll never have to rest, just cast wish.
Gear to have that would really help is...
Robe of Vecna (Failing that robe of X archmagi, robe of the apprentia)
Amulet of power
Ring of Gaxx
Charisma ring or ring of wizardry.
Bracers AC3 or dex 18
Staff of the Magi, sling of Evered.
Boots of speed.
Given the immense versatility of a sorc at higher levels, you can summon/cast anything you need.

ToB was really very easy with a solo sorceror, if you come from SoA. Most fights are over before they begin. For extra fun, summon monsters with your project image.
