Bards in ToB

Post by Chips_40285 »

i am thinking about playing the bard kit blade in SoA, and i am just wondering if the blade (or any bard for that matter)is powerful in ToB. Also, how high of level spells can the bards cast in ToB? i know they get to 6th in SoA (tensors trans=good fighter?)
Robert DeNiro is an awesome actor!

Well they still stay at 6th. But yes they come of age...think multiple stoneskins, mirrored, defensive ( or offensive) spin, tensored...you have a nasty bugger thats real real hard to hit.

Bards are great in tob, especially with use any item. They can become nearly impossible to hit, and blades are awesome at combat.
If I asked, would you answer? Its your problem. Its a deep, deep problem. I have no way to ask about that... I have no elegant way of stepping into your heart without tracking in filth. So I will wait. Someday, when you want to tell me, tell me then. -Bleach

Yes, the Use Any Item ability is a killer for Thief converts. Spike Traps rule! Watch dragons get killed by nine of those and you know what I mean...

I love the Skald kit; it's lousy at pickpocketing for sure, but it's a good back up fighter with the Gesen Bow and Ninja-To katana. The bard song for Skalds gives a -4 to AC at 20th (?) level, which is cool in ToB.
