Help!!! Kensai/Mage Kai ability gone

I recently started playing throne of bhaal and I noticed that my kensai/mage no longer has any kai abilities. This really takes away one of the points of using Kensai/Mage so this is pretty disturbing to me. I tried installing the throne of bhaal patch and the baldur's dash patches, but it's still not fixed. Am I doing something wrong?

Is your mage level higher than the kensai level? i.e. did you regain the abilities of the pervious class already?

oh definitely...i was a level 10 kensai and 18 mage....come to think of it. My berzerker/cleric no longer has any berzerker abilities either. I noticed this change after installing throne of bhaal. My cleric is level 22 or something.

I had the same thing happen to my Archer's Charm Animal abilities. Not that I miss them all that much, but it's kind of a bummer when my lvl 30 PC has 1 Charm Animal spell, and Minsc at lvl 24 has about 16. Curiously I now appear to have Tracking memorised roughly 25 times, even though I only picked it once.

Fortunately I didn't lose my Called Shots.
