Hiya people
I'm having some problems connecting with multplayer games with a friend (haven't tried other people).
He is running Win98 and has an english patch for SoA, and the patch for ToB
I'm running Win2K and has no patch for SoA and the patch for ToB.
(Wich means our ToB should have the same version??)
But when we try to make a game the game either hangs when we are creating characters or if the host has made his character, the connection just terminates right after connection.
This problem happens over gamespy and over a direct TCP/IP connection.
Does anybody have some advice?
Thanx in advance

Well it has nothing to do with compatibility with the versions because if it was, you wouldn't even be able to get to the character generation screen.
Does either one of you have a firewall? That may cause some trouble. Also try lowering the security settings on windows. I had the problem that Windows would disconnect from Multi-player games because it violated the security settings.
Or the problem could be that either of you have a very unstable connection...
