Imprisoned One

Post by Beelzebub »

I went quite well through watchers keep, but now i am stuck at the imprisioned one. Trying to hide on the platform in level 6 and taking him down slowly brought me dozens of monsters and a dead party. So i tried to take him down fast, but he seems to take hardly any damage...
Could anyone tell me please how to rake him out?
tnx in advance

Super cheese tactic...not for the lactose intolerent...

Cast project image and summon 5 planetars. They will hold demogorgy and pets in place so you can spellstrike them, and use abu dahzims to finsih it off.

worked foe me....
They call me Darth...

Ah, but if you kill him you get 100,000 XP per party member and, a warm fuzzy feeling which comes from having vanquished a giant two-headed baboon :D

you get 80k for not killing him, and something else for letting the knights in vain I think.

Cast project image and summon 5 planetars.
I thought you could only summon 1 planetar at any one time.

Yeah well just put 7 spike traps and it will be a nice overkill. Other tacticues are to put all your fighters really close to him. Put breach and 2x pierce magic on a spelltrigger. When he comes just fire the trigger and put on some greater ww on your fighters and you will soon have a dead baboon. He might recast his stone skin but with another mage with a similar spell trigger it should be no problem. The pierce magic spells should reduce his resistance so well that you can kill him with spells too.

Foss, if you don't kill him do you get an item?

Johnny, the projected image of a mage can cast beyond the normal creature control and summon limits. Its possible for a druid, using the potion swap trick and at high level to summon 6 elemental princes. Don't use elemental princes in this fight, tho. the prince of earth panicked, yes panicked in this fihgt. I wasted him with savarok, becasue I don't need cowardly summons.

My uber sorc an continue to cast image an ssummon, so at one time in windsphere hills I had 20 skeleton warriors.
They call me Darth...

I didn´t got any item...I think...I made a deal with him, that helms knights had tricked me, so I went up again, and said he was dead, so the knights went down to check it, and in the mean time a ghost, which was a messenger from HELM I think, appeared and gave me some choices.
And she gave me a scroll where I sealed the the WK from outside, leaving the knights and the demogorgon inside.
WHICH was also what you were meant to do according to the quest.
HELM didn´t want the demogorgon live, and I feel it could be good to have an ally or so when become GOD, so I did what HELM wanted :-)

Actually, this is what I noticed. I played this under Normal difficulty.

When i FIRST met Demo, I read the Ritual Scroll. 80k XP per party member (6 ppl).

Then I asked Demo to get me up to the surface to trick the Helms to come down. I managed to convince the Helms to go down to check if Demo is really dead (which he isnt). 25k XP per party member.

The a ghost apparition came and gave me another scroll to read. I read it AGAIN. 80k XP per party member.

THAT, my friends, is a total of 185k XP per party member!!! woo hoo! and it's all done by doing NOTHING! hehe

Hmm does it really work like that? I tought the game will end if you read the first scroll and get trapped inside.

OK, here's how it goes:
  • You read the scroll and are trapped. 80,000XP per party member.
  • Demogorgon tells you that he can let you out if you will send the Helmites down to him.
  • You tell the Helmites Demmy is dead and they go down to look. Ghost apparition appears, gives you second scroll. 25,000XP per party member.
  • Go back down and kill the big baboon. 100,000XP per party member, plus more for killing his summons.
  • Talk to the dying Orden. Forgive him. 20,000XP per party member.
I make that 225,000XP quest experience, plus about 60,000 to be divided up from killing his summons. Nice.

No, baboon opens a gate out for you, if you promise to help him get his revenge...
