The Most Powerful Armor in TOB(AC -10)

Post by gameleader »

I have seen someone posting a topic about this.

The most powerful armor in TOB(AC-10)

But In order to get this armor, you have to collect 3 items through BG1, BG2, and TOB.

Sounds interesting? The 3 intems are as follows
1.Golden Pantaloons-----BG1
Friendly Inn, 2F or 3F

2.Silver Pantaloons-----BG2
The quest about a man robbed and dumped in Grave Yard, and ask u for help.If u take this quest, u will find a woman in the Bridge district( unmarked house). Kill those bandits and save the woman. Choose evil path, and ask for ransom instead. Then u will get this item.

3.Bronze Pantaloons-----ToB
One of the Bhaal Spawn, the blue dragon. In his place, u will find 3 men fleshed to stone. Save them, and ask them to restore the orb of beholder, or something. After they come back, they will give u Bronze Pantaloons.

After u collect all these stuff, go to Akethran ahd ask a gnome, Kerrick the Smith, to forge the armor for u. Then it is done. Interestingly enough that this armor doesn't belong to magic items,so u can also use ring of protection + 3.
I heard people say that when u wear this armor, u will look like a giant golem., ha ha....

I just apply an affiliate for the site today. So i have no idea if anyone has talked about this topic before. But i would like to tell u about this news. I haven't got this powerful armor yet. But i would like to try. It is interesting.

Where the hell have you been man? The -10 armor is the "big metal unit" which is a really stupid peace of easter egg cheese that the bioware guys thru in for fun.

Then just play for fun. Why not? I don't really think all those evil monsters and characters are really logic there. For example, in TOB, some monsters are really too strong.(Fighting like a super fighter, immuse to most magic, and can cast very deadly magic) The evil Prince in the fifth level of Watcher's Keep is the example.

If u can always get through the game with no sweat, then that's fine. But since "big metal unit" is one of the good equipment that can help u easily get thru the game(even though it is a bit out of logic, too strong), why not use it?

First off you look really stupid with it on, and secondly you have to take it off to go through a doorway.

Yeah, U R right. I have heard someone said that. Very troublesome to get through a doorway if it is not wide enough. Kind of stupid, really. It remind me several times
how i kill those stupid giant golems while
they r blocked beyond the small doorway.

Ive never seen the character with the armor on. Very hard to imagine a Golem can wield a sword, shild, and cast magic?(I use Duel-class, Fighter/Cleric, so i can cast magic while wearing any armor)
What would it be like?

@Lord of Terror: Here at Gamebanshee, we practically sucked everything out of the BG series. I don't think there is any thing in the game that someone here did not mention. You can see from topics such as:

1) Who's the hottest female NPC
2) Literarary references in BG
3) What class would you be in real life

that everybody here is a BG addict who turned the entire series inside and out. And there is Fable, who is like omniscient, he practically knows everything.
