Mordenkainen's Sword spell - where can I get it?

I have completed BG2 for the 1st time (hurrah!) but I remember people saying that they could pick up an amulet left once Mordenkainen's sword was 'defeated' which was very helpful against mind flayers. I don't recall ever having seen the scroll either for sale or while adventuring. Can anyone help?

It's completely random, no sure places as far as I know.

This is actually a bug; this was confirmed by Dave Gaider (senior designer.) The amulet is present on the sword to make it immune to mind control (ie Charm, Domination, Stun) but whoever added it forgot that it a) drops and b) has to be activated to work. This is one of the numerous [url="http://members.home.net/mrkevvy"]Baldurdash[/url] bugfixes. So, if you don't fix it now, expect to see it fixed in the TOB expansion.

I found it thrice as early as the bridge district murder incident, on one of the Rune Assassins, I was soloing these times, so it could be level dependent...
