Well some people are scripting in a form of C (AFAIK) on the way it is belived the game will be scripted (Script Lessons)
Others draw maps in a drawing tool, and places markers where they want things to happen (NPC, spectators etc) and writing down what will happen at what time, and then when the game comes they already have the story, convesations etc ready.

The NWN scripting "language" is really just ANSI C, restricted to only one library of functions (the NWScript library).

Scripting in NWN means you must know two things: C and the NWScript functions. You can make a start by learning C at any time, you'll have to wait a bit before the functions become available.

Don't sweat it - from the look of it - it would be simple to make mods, quest etc. because they (developers) are talking alot about toolsets with wizards that will do most of the work for you.

Heh, in one of those demo movies, they build an entire dungeon in less than 10 minutes!

Bit of a Diablo dungeon, of course, but still...
