Guilds
Well I think this only will be possible in persitants worlds. Or if we have our own sever running mod's.Originally posted by Nippy:

I don't know - I'd generally say that people could use the same character for SP as they would for MP, just as long as it is an "Official Vault" character.
But if other people want to - it dosen't matter to me if we have to use seperate characters (SP character and a MP character).
This is certainly something that we need to take into consideration - and establish some rules of play (IMO)

Well that depends largely on where we play.
I've been looking around any many of these persistiant worlds properly have their own "vault" to store characters in, so in such a place, I don't think there would be a cross-over from SP to MP.
But if we host our own games - I couldn't see any problem for us to use SP characters in MP.
Personally I think that we ougt to find some persistian worlds and see if we can get into these and then play with one character (a MP) there - and when we play/host oursleves or non-persitant worlds we could easily use SP/MP characters (if allowed by DM/GM).
EDIT: Should we/I submit our guild in NwN sites around the net - or should we wait 'til the game comes nearer and/or the guild is better organised?

Speaking of having a server for hosting... I may be able to build a machine at home for that purpose. Being on DSL should give me decent bandwidth to utilize. So, with that in mind, has anyone seen any specs on what kind of hardware one would need to run a mod server??? Also, will my DSL allow our fine members on the other side ofthe globe to play without an insane amount of lag? Or, should I just aim to support strictly North American members on a server here???

Well I finally got cable a modem and the time to start posting. I have been playing AD&D all my life and NWN gets my approval and if you don't mind I plan on joining Blades of The Banshee. I like to play evil sorcerers, neutral theives and good eleven archers. But especially evil sorcerers.
In the Land of Mordor where Shadows lie.
I don't know the details, but I would hope all could join in no matter where they lived.Originally posted by mikeheitz:

From reading...the lag of a 56k modem is only going to be a 'half second' and in a game like this I believe that could be compensated for.
I know it a game like AoE the delay 'lag' is the difference between winning and losing...but will it be in a game like this?
"Vile and evil, yes. But, That's Weasel" From BS's book, MD 20/20: Fine Wines of Rocky Flop.
@DarkPower: We accept all kinds of alignments, so don't worry 'bout that
@mikeheitz: well regarding hardware the information is pretty loose still, but as weasle said they plan on this game being playable (even hosting small parties (5-8)) with a k56 modem, as for CPU and RAM requierments, there aren't much info out there.
