I have always played with a full install so I did not have to keep switching disks, but when I went home for Christmas, my brother did not have all the patches I did and network play wasn't possible. So instead of trying to find the patches and download them with his amazingly slow connection, I just uninstalled my game making sure to delete any potential patch information, and reinstalled. When I did this, I could not do a full install. At the end of the second disk, it asked for the 3rd. Two seconds after accepting the 3rd CD, it asked for the 4th. Then, two seconds later, it asked for the 5th. There is no 5th CD. I tried the Throne of Bahl CD because it is called disk 5, but it did not work either. I've tried many things to get my full install back, but none of them work. I always end up crashing my computer and having to restart. I can do the normal install just fine, but not a full one. I've uninstalled and deleted it so many times that (insert common cliche here), but nothing seems to work. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a cure?

Technical Problem (I think)
yeah this problem is known: ive had it myself too. you should just quit the install and start over. however, before you put in the disks make sure they're clean and dont click continue during the installation when the cd station is still reading. i hope this helps

Try here http://www.Bioware.com, BG2 known issues I had a link, but haven't figured out how to make it work on the update GB board
Something else you could try - but it would need initially 5gigs of free hard drive space - is to copy all of your disk to hard drive and run the install from there. This worked for me
Good luck!
