I'm at the end of ToB, just convinced Balthazar to join me in the fight with Melissan, just before this (when I was fighting all the monks outside) Aerie reached level 25 (Cleric) and I noticed a text saying something about "Aerie has reached ..... and has been granted .... by her diety" or something like that. Looking in her backpack I see the "Holy Symbol of Lathander", which is a pretty decent ring. Now my question is, do all NPC's get gifts at higher levels or is it because I'm romancing her or something?
Thanks in advance!

This is a gift from their god, with which clerics are unusually close. Druids are close to dirt, thieves are close to money, fighters are close to swords, bards are close to booze, etc.Originally posted by Franke
So there isn't any stuff like this for thieves, druids, bards etc..??

Helm, Lathander and Talos. Great if you've chosen a kit for your cleric, but last time I checked Aerie's god was the gnomish god of nature Baervan Wildwanderer. Yet she gets given the special ring of Lathander. Ditto for Anomen if he turns LG- he's still a priest of Helm, being blessed by Lathander. And what about Viconia, a priestess of Shar? Why should Talos or Helm care that she's reached lvl 25?
The least Bioware could have done is make separate rings for the NPCs.

They are. They're just so pie-eyed by the time the miracle happens that they don't remember it afterwards.Originally posted by Obsidian
