Beriand won't ressurect or heal !!

Post by Adversity »

I go to his tree, and he won't ressurect. Is this a bug? I've already returned his staff.

Please help :( 3 of my guys are dead. I wasn't worried, because I was going to the tree in a bit. Now I'm stuck with 3 dead people and Beriand won't help me.

I haven't tried this with him, but it worked with Odelinde, the Protector Naga, and I suspect it would be the same. If your characters are starting to smell ripe from being dead for too long, go to the elven healer, but don't talk to him. Instead, position your characters as close to the healer as possible without engaging in conversation with him. If I'm right, he'll automatically heal and resurrect any and all characters necessary.

Odelinde takes it a step further. She not only heals, but she also rests the party, which means that you don't have to kill so much time sleeping in order for your magic users to remember their spells.

I have resurrected dead chars many times at Beriand. It might be a bug in your installation, but there are other ways to bring dead chars back in life. Have you tried a wand of "resurrection" or "raise dead"? Are they out of charges? Are all your sorcerers dead? If you have opened the way up from the Halls of Light to Myth Drannor, you can also go to Odelinde or to the thirsty ground (I haven't tried that last one). If you haven't opened the exit to Myth Drannor, and you can't raise them in any other way, the only solution is to load a previously saved game (I hope you don't just overwrite one single savegame and you have a backup, right?). :) :p ;)

What workes realy well for me is that my paladin uses his "Lay on hands"skill. When the cure-spells don't work, this skill brings them back to life and then I rest my party so that all hitpoints and spells and skill are fully restored

Lay on Hands cannot raise or resurrect dead people. It can only heal unconcious party mambers, that means members that have not reach -10 on their hit points.

To get resurrected, one of your party(that is still alive) must need healing. Once you need healing, he will also resurrect as well...
