How do you bring the drow plate male again?

I heard it's possible to wear drow mail on the surface. how? (I checked the archives, nothing there)

something with Cromwell I believe....

PS: Is this considered cheating?

this is from a distant memory of a post somewhere, and I'm probalby going to get most of it wrong. i have not gotten this far in the game to test it out myself. if someone can confirm or correct me please do so.

if you load up jaheira or imoen with drow equipment in their inventory, dismiss them, go to the copper coronet to join them again, they will be there with all the goodies.

of course remember if you dismiss jaheira at any time, your romance is over.
