Spell Failures

For some reason 2 of my partys spells have started to fail quite regularly. I get a "Oops I'm sorry" from them and then nothing...Does anyone know why this is happening and what I can do to fix it?

...or, some mage is casting Miscast magic on your party during the battle. As Curdis said, more info please.

Usually it happens when I am trying to have them cast a restore spell or a raise dead spell. These spells have worked with both in the past and now for some reason have stopped. I will check and see if there is a miscast.

Those sound like the sort of spells you would cast just after a fight. I think the miscast is due as Aubrey said to an ememy spell caster using miscast magic against you. Just to ensure the bleedingly obvious has been covered - these spell casters aren't poisoned, covered in insects, standing in a stinking cloud.... - Curdis !
