Personally, as someone else has stated, It is wise to have 2 clerics in a party.

A tactical player will probably double take at dismissing viconia. She`s a great addition to any party. She has magic resistance that can be augmented to 100%, she gets more cleric spells than anyone else, and she gets those liches and vampires etc... to fight for ya

AND...she doesn`t run away like that pessy Anomen.

My Party at the moment is as follows:

Me (obviously!!!)
Aerie (Time stop, lower resist*3, harm, wake up and destroy is a destructive tactic I feel)
Jahiera
Viconia
Edwin (when I get into TOB) (can`t be bothered lvl`ing him up at the moment)
Haerdalis(when I get into TOB...for the same reason as Edwin)

oh and NED Flanders?.....I totally agree with you on the Aerie issue

well, as long as you guys dont say anything really BAD about aerie, you can avoid the dreaded neeber curse I can cast as president of the aerie fan club...

this curse will stick you with neeber into your next party...

giggle,

and I have learned new curse, the dreaded jahiera alignment change, where jahiera becomes neutral good, and will freak you out by not whining all the time with a good rep...

seriously, I find it amusing that he most sniveling, cowardly member of my party has more sheer destructo powers than anybody, except yours truely, the awesome

kensai assassin sorc hive mother beholder...

(use any item, 9 kai, which I hust about never use, so lame is it, 3 poison weapon, and 3 beholder anti magic ray, 8th level innate, which punches thru anything, works like a short duration prot from magic, blows any spell and ememental defenses, and dumps miscast magic, no save for 3 full rounds.. only their scripted chain contingencies work...

bwahahahahah!!!

seriously, though, I have sent aerie up alone against dragons, and liches, and she always looks like she wants to cry afterwards, but always wins with right combo of spells, and her snivelling is rather endearing...

if you were a cute elven girl, wouldnt you snivel when facing demi liches and dragons???

just a wee little problem UserUnfriendly.

Implosion is a lvl7 cleric spell and so you couldn`t get it into a spell trigger. You can get it into a chain contigency, but due to the fact that such spells are cast on yourself it would probably say "one of the spells failed"or......our little wingless elf would learn to fly again (the nasty way)

nope, never cast implosion on yourself...

I usually load up triggers with smites or best of all, triple bolts of glory, better for demonic, but ok for undead.

SUNRAY and using potion swap trick, for jahiera is Natures beauty cast on yourself...interestingly enough, you MUST cast m swords on yourself, rather than target enemy....

yeah, my posts were a littel vague on the selections, but I kinda felt hey, if you are going to fool around with macro spells, you should do the work and learn on your own which to cast on your self and others...

simple rule of thumb...if you click on the spell icon to cast a spell, if your cursor turns into a target cursor you cast on nearest enemy, but if spell does not require target, you cast on yourself.

and like mswords and natures beauty and sunray, its not always obvious what the targetting must be.

sometimes spell triggers make me wanta barf, as my fav destructo spell, delay action fireballs, is lvl 7, not level 6...just misses out on being able to spell trigger...

chain lightning is fun, tho...

oh, and if you load up a trigger with buff spells, like mislead or stoneskin, you must unload trigger on yourself.

@fable, that was a funny quote with viccy to aerie but there are a few that just had me laughing forever.

the one with viccy and jan jansen when jan claims to be deaf and only reads lips was a great one, my favorite.

i also really really liked at the end of ToB when Jan tells his story of when he was the god of murder, that's my second favorite.
