Paladin equipment(spoiler)

What is the best pally equpment for TOB
I have:
Shuruppaks's plate
Blessed bracers
Helm of Balduran
Amulet of Selderine
Carsomyr+5
2 rings of Gaxx
Cloak of Balduran(cheated it in from bg2:soa)
Boots of Phasing(secret boots)
belt of inertial barrier

I'm a lvl 22 Cavalier and i wanted to know what was te bst equipment to have.

So long as you're at it, why don't you exploit some more flaws in the game and get Drow Full Plate +5?

That won't work b/c all drow equipment will disenigrate above ground, remember?

well, not if you cheat to get it. I'm not sure, but i think using the CLUA console you can get it without disintegrating. I am 100% positive that you can make it using shadow keeper. So if you really want to cheat you can make it, also, you can do it without cheating but it's kinda complicated, i believe there is another post somewhere discussing it if you really want to.

If I remember correctly it only disentergrates at The war elves camp and just outside of sendais enclave.

My Inquisitor ended up with
Pale Green Ioun Stone
Amulet of Power
Shurrupak´s Plate
Blessed Bracers
Ring of Gaxx
Ring of the Ram
Cloak of the Sewers
Boots of Speed
Girdle of Stone Giant Strength
Carsomyr +6
Flail of Ages +5 (then equipped the Darksteel Shield +4)

I discovered that the Magic Resistance itens don´t stack correctly, so I quit using the Seldarine and went for the Level Draining protection of the Amulet of Power. And I would use the Ring of Earth Control, but Minsc needed it

I used the Boots of Speed so all my party had increased movement (Astral Prison, Asylum, Illasera, and the two in boots Saradush + Minsc with Grandmaster´s Armor).
Sarevok used the Cloak of Mirroring and the Gauntlets of Extraordinaire Specialization.

If your cavalier already has good dexterity, then Enkidu's Full Plate +3 is better than Shuruppak's Plate, IMO, because it renders you immune to backstab.

Shurappak's is good b/c of the +20 fire res and there are many thieves who get past true sight so i use that. Also, how does a pally use the Amulet of Power. I mean it is an item for mages and clergy. Please tell me how u got it. Also the mag res stacks right only if u reequip all the mag stuff.

I´ve never had problems wearing the Amulet of Power on my Paladin or even on Minsc. In the description it says only thieves or fighters cannot use it. I heard the unpatched version forbid non-mages/clerics, but I never played without the patch.
I used Surupakk´s to get my Dex back to 18 (it fell to 17 in Hell). I used the Dex from Lum´s Machine in Sarevok.
And I tired of equiping/re-equiping Ring of Gaxx-Carsomyr-Seldarine just to get my MR correctly. Left it at 65 (Carsomyr+Hell+Lum´s) and it was good enough. Never bothered that I usually wasn´t using the +5 from the Amulet of Power.

PS: I heard on other thread that regeneration items don´t stack. It may be true, but I´m almost sure that Minsc did heal faster with Axe of the Unwielding+Ring of Gaxx...

If you want the Magic Resistance to work correctly, equip Carsomyr before equiping any items that give you bonus to MR. This is because Carsomyr set MR to 50% (or 60% if you've upgraded it) not add that like the others.

The Amulet of Selderine is better than the Ammy of Power only because of the +1 to saving throws can be a life saver literally. The vocalize,mag res +5,and those other things aren't really that important. Well i have the patch and it still is messed up. I'll try it again but anyway i think the amy of selderine is better.

Actually, the ammy of power is a million times better for a mage... and if your a paly, as you're supposed to be when discussing anything on this thread, then, well, if you have good mag res, from that awesome destroyer of a sword most likely, then you really wont need the saving throw vs spell will you? I mean, come on, how is an extra saving throw point, when you already have plenty, going to help if you just resist everything that is thrown at you?

Personally I would equip the Boots of Speed. I'm fairly certain that Regen items do stack, but I'd have to check on that to be positive. If you are wearing the Boots of Speed then you will regenerate twice as quickly.
