How do I use resurrection rod?????

I'm in Hell and I've decided to let one of my characters die (Jaheira) in my case. I've got the resurrection rod and when I use it nothing happens??? I haven't tried to use raise dead yet. Will this one work for her. Or is their something else I need to do besides using the rod???? Any help out there?

If your char explodes in death the Rod does not revive them I believe.

In my experience, If a party member is Gibbed (chunked)(exploded horrifically) their little portrait disappears from the party line to the right of the screen. No res available then. If they have a body and a portrait, then you should be able to equip the rod in a quik use slot like a scroll and cast it like a scroll on the party member. Dont think it will work on "stoned" party members either.

The portrait does'nt disappear it just turns gray. The reason I thought I would try going to the right (killing one in my party) in hell. Is that the walkthrough on this site said you could resurrect after your party member died. Tried raising the dead and that didn't work either. I guess I will go to the left then.

You should be able to res in hell. I did it.

Just put the rod in your scroll slot. Click on it and target the greyed out picture of the character.

The manual says that if a char's hp falls to or below -10 then cannot be ressurected, when this happens their portrait dissapears. one thing that happened to me once was that imoen died and her portrait went grey, i tried to ressurect her and couldnt, the then put my cursor over her portrait and it said her hp were -10, thus she couldnt be ressurected, dont know why the pic didnt dissapear. so leave your cursor over her pic, if it says -10 you cant ressurect her
