Equipment retained from BG1

Post by RedDragon7175 »

I know about the pantaloons, but are there any other items that are definitely carried over with the final save from BG1 to SoA? I've tried loading up my character with all the decent gear but don't appear to get any of them back.
Cheers

Although it can be overcome by a simple exploit/cheat it is intentional that your character starts SoA with nothing (I haven't tried the pantaloons). - Curdis !
The warlord sig of 's' - word

Making a reappearance for those who have a sig even longer

Here is a little quirk that I discovered when I imported my cleric from BG1(w/TOSC) to BG2 (TOB installed). I had a multiplayer party and most transferred correctly (stats correct and when I started a new Shadows of Ahm, no equipment). I didn't import the cleric right away. During the BGII SOA game, in multiplayer, I tried to import the cleric but the stats would not import at all. Since I now wanted the cleric, I went back to BG1, took my original party and obtained the golden pantaloons. Gave them to the cleric and exported her to her own BG1 game. This is where it got interesting. When I imported her into BG2, the stats were correct so I saved her as a pre-generated and started a brand new BG2 game with all of the others that I had been using in BG2. The cleric was the third player (not the protagonist) in this new game. She had retained all of her original BG1 equipment(eg plate mail+3, two rings of holiness, cloak of Baldurian & pants). A second pair of golden pants were discovered behind painting. What a nice suprise!
