HLD,
great work love the cast. keep jaheira in the party in this instance. guess the pc will have to female to keep the romance alive. maybe david werner (it is his voice) instead of ian for irenicus.
Dolph as sarevok is priceless (I come in peace).
What about Korgan?
Cary Elwes for Anomen (you have to go with freddie prinze, jr. though) Anomen fails his knighthood test and sean connery lops his head off.
Dolph could also be wulfgar.

Jeri Ryan as Aerie? Hmm...that just doesn't fit my impression of Aerie. I can't think of anyone else for the part, though; but, then again, I don't know many actors'/actresses' names.Originally posted by HighLordDave

You're absolutely right. The more I think about it, the less I like Jeri Ryan as Aerie. I withdraw Jeri Ryan and replace her with Shannon Elizabeth.

George Clooney as Keldron
Cate Blancett as Ellsime
Famke Jansen as Nalia
Julia Roberts as Imoen
Jet Li as Drizzt
Chow Yun Fat as Yoshimo
Ben Affleck as Anonmen
Martin Short as Jan Jansen

Brad Pitt as Jon Irenicus
Leonardo Di Carprio as He'raldis
Will Smith as Gaele Bayle
Tom Lee Jones as the dude from the Asylum

With longer hair and some make-up Jeri Ryan would make a great Aerie. She is actually a great actress and I beleave could do the part well. (Especially the attitude change as the story progressed. Double expecially in the end when she becomes and arch-mage and can level buildings with a thought.)

Because of the huge number of characters and NPC's in the game, it is almost impossible to feature evey single one if a film was made.
I had an idea that the party would be good aligned +Edwin, since he was part of the original party in BG1 along with Imoen, Minsc, Jaheira, Khalid and Dynaheir, if you look at some of his dialogue.
Some characters I left out like Korgan, Valygar, Mazzy etc would only play minor roles in the film.
After all we can't have every single quest in the film can we?

I don't disagree, as far as her acting abilities go, but she's too tall and just doesn't look quite right. I don't know what Jeri Ryan's height is, but she'd be too tall to play an elf like Aerie, imo. With the right make-up, I think Jeri Ryan would do better playing someone like Viconia.Originally posted by DaringCommander11

IIRC, every NPC who carries over from BG1 into BG2 'travelled with you in BG1.' For example, when Viconia is about to be fried, she sees you and recalls that she travelled with you before and asks for you help, IIRC. Minsc and Jaheira also remember travelling with you, which I found odd when I first started BG2 since I killed Jaheira and Khalid in BG1.Originally posted by ColinK

@ Littiz:
It seems samcu's primary consideration goes to the commercial success of the movie.
I think HLD's choices are better so far.
Cheers

G'day mates !
After some months of lurking I have to break my vow of silence !
This topic is just TOOO delicious to let it lie.....
1)What about casting Natalie Portman as Aerie ?
I just LOVED her as child - queen in "Star Wars:Episode I" .
2) Jean-Claude van Damme as Anomen - just look at his portrait.
3) Sam Neill as Irenicus. Have you seen him as "Merlin" ?
and - last not least -
4) Angeline Jolie as Imoen. She has the body, the face and the firepower....
No worries !

hey all,
i think that Shanen Doherty would be good Bohdi, and Alyssa Milano would be a good Imoen.
Having said that if you put those 2 together then there would be some off screen fights
Oh and who would be the Bhaalspawn, what class would they be, whatsex and what age?

oh come on, we all know that Danny Devito (think Wag the Dog, or Get Shorty) would be a great Jan Jansen, though I can't see him casting spells, just the making fun of everyone, and crazy stories that have no point.
Alan Rickman and Edwin goes well too,
funny how all these conversations about casting used to center on LoTR, but at least _that_ issue has been solved satisfactorily for now
