Actually, to tell you the truth, I've never tried it against liches, but I assume it works because they are undead. As for the Demi-Lich, I'm sure it wouldn't work because he's immune to magic of all kinds. As for Vampires, it kills any vampire including Bodhi. It clears out entire rooms of Vampires if you use Sun Ray WITH Greater Malison.

What do you mean?
Do I have to start with Greater Malaison
and then do Sun Ray or vice versa?
Do I still get to stake them in their coffins?

First you should do Greater Malison, because it dramatically lowers the chance for your Enemies to Save vs. Spell, then Sunray.
