Are sorcerers too powerful
Are sorcerers too powerful
I am now a lvl 22 sorc playing through bg2 and tob(i am neutral evil, crap) with all the abilities and i seem to be too powerful. I mean every enemy easy. I usually dragn breath every thing and then toy with everything by casting spells and going invisle over and over and over till i finger o death everthing. Also that spell that lower alacricy and summon planetar make battles too easy. Please some feed back.

The reason it's too easy is that you're playing the game in a way the developers never intended it to be played: as a soloing character. As a result, you've accumulated six times the experience earlier than might otherwise be expected. If you want to even things out a bit, consider setting the difficulty level up to insane, and maybe ditch your favorite weapon and form of protection.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.
not really, most high level sorc cheese stuff is item independent and difficulty settings only matters until you get your first level 9 spell. After that just use chain contingency cheese. If you really wanna challenge with a sorc make him mind control type spells and debuffs only with a few save or else spells, with no pets and no dmg spells(ae or single target). Can't see how you'd get through tob with that, but it would definately would be interesting....
But face it, any class with that much xp will destroy anything anyway, no matter the class(yes, even bards...). If you'r look'n at sheer power i'd say a fighter/mage dual would kick more butt, cause they'd make better use of the combat type buffs and protections and also have the advantage of nifty fighter weapons and gear.
ps. berserker/mage owns you, so does a fighter/mage/theif multi(no extra level 9 spells but with traps, whrilwind, use any item and assasination, it really doesn't need em... at all).
