I`m using a new character at the moment: a solo neutral evil Kensai/mage (a well ard class who`s power in different ways is comparable to the Kensa/thief) problem is though; I`m not a thief and so I can`t steal anything, I`m sticking to the evil path and so I can hardly buy anything and all the decent stuff comes later in the game, so my question is:
what is a good place to find multiple spawnings of enemies that sometimes drop lvl 5+ scrolls upon resting?
at the moment I`m in the graveyard crypt and I`ve managed so far only to get a Tensors Transformation and a summon lesser air elemental.....those ghasts only come one at a time and not as often as mummies and ya have to rest loads before they come ;(
also the tight sods keep dropping pessy rings instead of those improved haste and protection from magical weapon scrolls I`m after

Enemies dropping high-level spell scrolls seems to be a completely random thing. I've never noticed any particular area where enemies consistently dropped them.

What happened here was the gradual habituation of the people, ... to receiving decisions deliberated in secret; to believing that the situation was so complicated that the government had to act on information which the people could not understand, or so dangerous that, even if he people could understand it, it could not be released because of national security.

Cowled Wizards!!!
If you have Spell Sequencer, just load it with 3 Skull Traps,
cast mirror image or something outdoors and kill them on sight!
Even better, abandon your foolish evil path and become good!

Sojourner, there are some enemies like ghasts or greater ghouls that drop scrolls fairly often, an example of an ememy who`ll never drop a high lvl scroll is yer average hob goblin

Yes, but they don't necessarily drop high-level spell scrolls.Originally posted by Dark Rook

Indeed! The easiest way to go about it. Save up 30K, buy Vhailor's Helm and a Scroll of Protection from Magic, and you can go to town. Simply let the Simulacrum from the Helm use its copy of the Scroll on you and you can keep the original. The Cowled Ones are a joke if you're 100% magic resistant.Originally posted by Littiz

Another way might be mugging guards in the streets. They're said to carry high level spell scrolls (although I haven't the faintest idea how they'd use them).
