Where`s Arundel

Post by davfra »

Hi,
I`ve just got to Kuldahar for the first time and I can`t find Arundel. I`ve found his house but he`s not at home.
I`m not sure whether to carry on to the next part of the game.
I`d hate to be wasting my time.
I`ve been all around Kuldahar, and checked back from time to time, but there`s no sign of him.
Any advice, please?
Cheers,
Davfra

Are you sure you've got the right "house"? He lives in the tree just across the bridge from the shopkeeper. Also, did you talk to the boy about Arundel?
There's nothing a little poison couldn't cure...

What happened here was the gradual habituation of the people, ... to receiving decisions deliberated in secret; to believing that the situation was so complicated that the government had to act on information which the people could not understand, or so dangerous that, even if he people could understand it, it could not be released because of national security.

Sounds like you've encountered another bug. Do you have a previous save you can go back to?

I found the solution. I hadn`t properly completed the Kuldahar Pass section. There was another floor in the building with a scared child in it.
When I finished it properly, Arundul was where he was supposed to be.
I`ve seen patches mentioned for this game. What are they for and are they neccesary?
Thanks for the advice.

Patch 1.06 for IWD and Patch 1.41 for HoW fix some nasty bugs as well as adding cheats.
