Trying to get the graphics for a magic staff I'm making, I can't find the .ITM file for the Staff of Rynn anywhere...where is it? (all I can find are the Cleric's staff and Staff of Woodlands
also, is there a staff anywhere which glows gold like Carsomyr?
is making BAMs easy? where can I get started if I want to?

You'll need to extract the ITM files to the override folder before you can open it with IEEP. I usually use Shadow Keeper to extract them. Infinity Explorer is also another good program, because it gives you the picture reference of the items - so you can simply copy it for your item, or save it so you can rename it and so on. For some reason it doesn't extract items and other things properly, that's why I use Shadow Keeper.
I don't have much experience with BAMs, since I just use the ones that are already in the game, you can go to TeamBG and find the tools as well as tutorials for it.
If you're using IEEP, open the file for the Carsomyr and look at the "Shining Colors by RGB" effect and copy that for your staff.
