Jaheira bug?

When I buy a game, the first thing I do is check for official "patches". So I already have the US patch. Can't exactly remember the number. I do not have ToB installed, only SOA. BTW, I am romancing Jaheira and 'had' Yoshimo in my party. But...

When I was in Spellhold, right after the big duel with Irenicus and after taking care of the asassins and Yoshimo, (in other words, after all the fur has flown), Jaheira ppops up a dialog with something to the effect of "I have been in similar places as this...". After selecting my responses for this dialog, it happens again within 2-3 seconds. No matter how I answer, it keeps happening. The only way to get it to stop was to rest (yes, she was very low on hit points). I was hoping this took care of it, but when I was in the Sahaugin city, she started doing it again.

I am in the Drow city now and am wondering if this will happen again once I get out (I understand the romance is set aside in this chapter). If it does, is there a way to fix this? Have I screwed up the romance plot?

I had the same thing happen to me. I cured it by resting, and it never started again. If it keeps occuring, I would say make sure you have the newest patch, maybe check kevin Dorner's sight to, they have some cool patches there. Do a search and you should find some links.

I don't think you have screwed up the romance unless you said the wrong thing. Like I said, resting fixed it for me, and the romance continued.

Thanks, Bloodstalker. I had visited that site earlier and had found a Jaheira Romance Patch and noticed another loop that it spoke of. Last night I made it out of Ust Natha. Jaheira gave me one more dialog of the same, but only one. Not long after, a woman (excuse me, I am terrible with names) came up to speak with her because J and I had killed Galvarey. I chose the option to let J tell her about me, and the woman went off thinking over what was said. So, in all, I think that I am okay for the dialog did not loop again. Now I'm having a problem where the game and computer completely locks up when I have Aerie "Summon Wyvern". Either I'll figure this one out, or un-memorize that spell.
