Slayer transformation?

Having a bit of a problem...
every time i change into the slayer, i seem to take damage from no-one and then i eventually end up dying... any reason why?

There's a time-limit on how long the game allows you to be the slayer - if you exceed that, your PC dies.

that is the "price" you pay for taking the transformation and even if you heal you will die so it is basically futile to use unless nothing else works...

Wasn't futile for me. Sounds as if you forgot to change back to human form. The price that you pay is 2 rep points, not death.

No problem for me since I normally play as neutral char. I use the slayer -2 rep to maintain my rep at around 10
