Mind Flayer doors

Post by Morlock »

I have a problem.
In the mind flayer dungeun in the underdark, I forgot that you needed a mind flayer alive to open the doors to the brain.
My last save is a long time ago- so I wanted to CLUA a mind flayer in. The problem is, I've never used CLUA in BG2 before (I'm a cheezer, not a cheater ;) ) I've used it in BG1 though. Anyway I opened Baldur.ini and under [Game Options] I put Debug Mode=1- and in the game Ctrl + space- nothing. then I tried Cheats=1- since that is what you used in BG1- nothing.

So basicaly, my problem is CLUA not working.
Any help you can give? :(

for the specific problem with needing a flayer, one periodically respawns in one of the rooms near to where you get the control collars. for the console problems, i dunno, sorry
Here where the flattering and mendacious swarm
Of lying epitaths their secrets keep,
At last incapable of further harm
The lewd forefathers of the village sleep.

try putting cheats=1 underneath the [Game Options] line, instead of the [Program Options] line. other than that I couldn't say....

Possible spoilers!

Thanx guys, I already used a collar on the respawning guy, finished the illithids, finished the beholders- OMG were they easy- I had Morlock (Me, swashbuckler) and Keldorn, using respectivly the sheild of Balduren and clock of reflection- they ran through (boots of spee d :) ;) :D ) killing all beholders, gauths, the 4 drow were easy and the mind flayers attacked the gauths!
Anyway, then I did the kuo toa place, incl. demon knights, then I did Vathel (imprisoned mage) and now I saved right near the enterence to Adalons cave.
I started today in Brynlaw! which makes this one of my most productive days ever! (in BG2 that is)

What really bugs me about that is that if you use spells to give someone 25 strength, they can't open the door. Grrrr. They just want you to drop your rep and lower your health
The waves came crashing in like blindness.
So I just stood and listened.
