Help! Greater Wolfweres just wont die

Post by DJSMITH »

I am in the subquest right now for the windspear hills. Excuse the spelling. and there is a hallway where 3 Greater Wolfweres attack. My party just cant kill them. I have +3 or better weapons for everyone. The tag will say barley injured or near death one second on these guys and be uninjured the next!!! arrrgh.. Are my guys just not strong enough yet? or is this a glitch?

They regenerate really quickly. You just have to focus everyone on them and hack him down as quickly as possible. He will fall eventually.

Lo, there do I see my father
Lo, there do I see my mother and my sisters and my brothers
Lo, there do I see the line of my people back to the beginning
Lo, they do call to me
They bid me take place among them in the Halls of Valhalla

They regenerate very fast, that's the problem. Depending on the level of your party you could summon (fire) elementals or Mordekainen's Swords and haste them as well as your fighters. Use any other protection spell you can too (eg Chant, Prot. from Evil). If you you can't deal with all of them at once try to lure them out one by one. There's a room with two doors opposite of the entry to the tunnel with the werewolves. It's quite easy to catch and defeat single werewolves there.

Have 2 guys melee it, and hit it with a harm and keep on firing magic missiles.

you have to massacre them *fast*..bend all of your combined power upon one ememy at a time, you could have a cleric use holy power, righteous magic then harm...and hope you get a quick attack straight afterwards.

Haste is a must (improved haste is even better)
Ariel servants often hit in the mid thirties and higher

you could chromatic orb em actually and hope they fail to save vs death
If you have a ranger you may be able to charm them and then use em

A Pessimist sees the light, avoids it AND WANDERS BLINDLY

Arrows of biting seems to offset that annoying regen factor they have. The silver sword's insta kill effect is good also. :p Was able to kill one once with my fighter/mage dual by bounce'n lightning bolts and melee'n. Finger of death is pretty effective for those with suck melee. Just give korgan a decent axe, belm and a str belt/potion, slap an improved haste on him and he'll kill em so fast you won't notice the regen.
