Windspear Hills (SPOILER)

Simple question: What does the "Chapel Key" do? It's my fourth time through the game and this time I found the chapel key in the Windspear Hills, never had something needing another key the first three times around. The walkthrough on this site mentions the key but doesn't describe what it does. Does anyone know?

It key opens the locked door after which you're greeted by Samia. As the door can be both knocked and bashed in with a relatively easy accesable strenght, not many actually need the key.
Ditch it.
