Gseries Scripts

Post by ILL WILL »

Sup Folks,
I downloaded the gseries scripts and I think they're bad (as in good). The problem is, they work with all the npcs, by not my protagonist (a cleric/mage). I use the multi script with him but all he does (even with spells memorized) is try to hit people with his quarterstaff. He's 9/11 cleric mage. I know they are supposed to work with him cuz they worked the last time, but this time they don't work (no matter which of the scripts I assign to him).

Anyone know what I'm talking about or how to help me?

This is most odd... Have you tried (drastically) changing your spell selection? Does gMulti work for Aerie?

Couple of "duh" questions... Did you assign the script properly? Is the AI turned on? Did you hit the [D]on't [D]o [D]at hotkey by any chance? It turns AI off for that specific character...

Xyx,
Thanks for the reply.
1. Yeah, Arie's abilities work fine.
2. The AI button is enabled for the protagonist (he even tries to hit things with his staff).
3. AI is turned on.
4. I'm pretty sure I assigned it properly.

It's interesting this must not have happened to anyone else...my post has been viewed 34 times and you're the only reply.

More "duh" questions, I'm afraid, but this is all I can think of.

Does your pro wear armor or some other thingy that might disable spellcasting?

Does your pro memorize the same spells Aerie does?

You absolutely sure that you saw "AI on" displayed over your pro's head after pressing [D]?

No armor.

Roughly the same spells as aerie

If I press D, it will say (AI OFF). Then I press E and it turns it back on.

It's almost like the script cannot tell that I have spells memorized.

What is the relationship b/t spell casting and level? If my character level is too high, will he not "waste" spells on certain enemies? He's only c/m 10/11, but I imported him from another game due to a crash. Will he wait to use his spells until harder enemies? Thus far the most powerful enemies I've faced with the ai on are trolls and other wizrds. give or take.
