Trouble in the Drow City!

Post by devin »

I am at the point where I am supposed to help Solaufein and Phaere fight a beholder on the S.E. platform in the Drow city. They are on the platform but when I get there nothing happens... Phaere doen't respond to me (Phaere has nothing to say to you) and Solaufein gives me a single response. The beholder doesn't appear even after I wait for a while. Am I doing something wrong? I've tried sleeping and then coming back to the platform but if I wait too long I get attacked for not completing the quest... I finished most of the other mini quest that I could find (i.e. fighting pits and the Aboleth). Can anyone help me out?

Do you have a previous save you can go back to? This area is extremely buggy.
There's nothing a little poison couldn't cure...

What happened here was the gradual habituation of the people, ... to receiving decisions deliberated in secret; to believing that the situation was so complicated that the government had to act on information which the people could not understand, or so dangerous that, even if he people could understand it, it could not be released because of national security.

do a search on this web page for phaere and you will find a patch for the beholder glitch. hope this helps. mind you, kevin dorner's patches I believe are unofficial but I have used this patch in the past with success.
