Has anyone ever just used the Spell "Knock" to get the evidence in the chest for Renal? I did and didn't bother with any of Mae'Var's quests. I then went back to Renal, told him, came back and killed everyone in Mae'Var's Guildhall. I can't access get passed the secret wall, yet.
Still in Chapter 2.
My question is, can I still access Edwin? If so, in this chapter?
If, yes, and in a later chapter. That will suffice.
Thanks!

Interesting. But it sounds as though you've managed to "jump" the quest thread completely--shouldn't you be able to check, now, and see for yourself if Edwin is still available? After all, you're the person who took this action, so you're in the best position to find out the results.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.
What secret wall? the one in the shadow thief guildhouse (north east, first floor)?
Yep, that one.

Edwin is not behind that door... he is (should be) on the top floor of Mae'Var's Guildhall.
