Does anybody ever hate to pick a race and a class because of how they look
This happens to me a whole lot. For example, I cant choose the halfling thief because i think it looks really stupid. I usually just pick the human. The Human/Thief (Women) looks awesome. Please tell me if this is how you feel in any remote way?
Hehe , I have the same problem too!! I never chose a halfing in any of the Forgotten Realms/D&D games even though i have consider it because they look to small and too stupid.

Though I agree that many of the 'possible' character modells don't look all that appealing, I'm more of a tactical player, so...yes, I have a halfling in my party. He doesn't look so cool, but as a monk/rogue, he's just awesome. And after awhile, he just kinda 'grew' on me, now I find how he looks just fine (though occasionally it's hard to 'target' him, because he is 'blocked-out' by some of the other, bigger modells in the party...)
Yep, some of the "avatars" are plain-arse dumb looking, however on my first attempt on the game I went with what I know to be a semi-balanced party I.E dwarf paladin for protection and cleric abilities, halfling rogue according to old D&D rules make the best thieves, half-elf Sorceress, for their spell resistance and finding secret doors, and a human ranger, for tracking and later on their spell abilities. There is of course a way around having a "dumb" looking character and thats by using the "PORedit" program you can change the Avatar value to whatever you want without it affecting how your character behaves, use caution though it can and has messed up my game by using an inappropriate integer best to have at least 2 backups of your game to experiment on. good luck and merry mayhem to all
