have you got the lathorn in your inventory?
are you in chapter 7?
have you taken the lathorn out of the bag of holding?

other than that I can't help you

IIRC, the entrance to Suldanesselar is in a tree in the north-east corner of the forest of Tethyr. But it's been a while since I've been able to play. Stupid lost CD2...

It doesnt matter if you've lost CD2, if you have BG fully installed on your hard drive.. ;)

Then again, if you want to re-install, you have a problem!
I do not have the touch, nor do I have the power.

Eh? Really? I have it fully installed and when I start the game, I get the first screen. After I select "Play", if CD2 is not in my drive, it asks for it. Once I put it in and it starts the movie clips, I can then take it back out.

What have I done wrong?

Actually, the owner of GameBanshee *does* care if it's illegal, and so do people who have paid for the game. Let's here no defense here of pirating software. It's stupid, selfish, and hurts the creation of the games we all love.

That said, if BG2's already been purchased, then borrowing a copy of a disk to replace a lost one is perfectly legal: you've already bought the rights to a single copy of the code. It's not pirating if you've paid for it. :)
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

The problem is, I've only just upgraded to a really good computer. I have bought BG2 and ToB, and as soon as I went to do a full install I found out I'd managed to lose the 2nd CD. So I can't install it at all. And since ToB won't work without SoA I can't install that either.

Check Bioware site and if it's true you can buy CDs separately, do it!

I, for one, I hate pirating softwares. I prefer buying softwares, though it's more expensive. That way, whatever I do to my pc doesn't make me feel anxious: I can always reinstall any program or game.

Cheers
