After I installed Bg2 on the graphics on BG1 seem huge so whats up?

If I understand your question...
.
BG1 runs in 640+480 screen size.
.
BG2 can run in 640+480 . 800+600 . and higher screen sizes. The default setting in BG2 is 800+600 screen sizes. You can reconfigure the settings at the start up screen.
