HoW and TotL question

Post by matt69 »

I recently bought HoW and installed it along with TotL. Now in what order do i finish the game. Do I go thru IWD the same as before and after the final battle continue on to HoW. Or do I do most of IWD , HoW and TotL and then come back to the final battle in IWD.

Thanks.

If you want to play them as part of one game do most of IWD then TotL, HoW then finish IWD.
You can only get to TotL from the HoW section but I'm not sure if you can go back to TotL when you finish HoW

OK , so the final battle of IWD (where the game stops) is still the final battle , and if there are other "final" battles for both HoW and TotL the game can be played afterwards. This is correct ?

Thanks for answering.

I don't think it is possible to get back to TotL after you have finished HoW, i never managed to, you can get to HoW from IWD in a house in Khuldahar - Hjolders house IIRC (warning, one can not go back to IWD after that trip) Also one gets to TotL in he lonelywood Inn, talk to one of the Dwarfs, one can not get back from TotL until you have finished the levels in TotL.

Hold everything!!! ;)

With IWD and HoW and TotL installed one may:

1a)Finish IWD, import into HoW and finish then travel to TotL.

1b)Finish IWD, import into HoW and then travel to TotL before returning to finish HoW.

2a)Get part way through IWD and travel to HoW, finish HoW then travel to TotL before returning to finish IWD.

2b)Get part way through IWD and travel to HoW, travel to TotL, return to HoW and finish before returning to finish IWD.

With TotL installed you always travel to the castle via Lonelywood (you can't import into TotL). When travelling to/from IWD I believe you must finish HoW first - even if you have TotL but don't try it you use Hjolder to get back to IWD.

You are trapped in the TotL once you start it.

If you install just HoW you will end the game on killing Icasaracht if you have already defeated Belhifet. Otherwise you use Hjolder to travel. If you get TotL after doing HoW/IWD you must re-import into HoW to finish the official add-on.
