Minsc totally powerless?
Except for his two +2 maces, Helm of Balduran, 2 Rings of Protection and Red Dragon Armor. (i wonder if that dwarven smithy made a miniture set of armour for Boo? It doesn't show on Boo's picture)
...but... all of his ranger ability icons have gone grey! Does anyone know why this happens? I thought one reason could be drop in reputation (alignment), but we are "popular" at the moment. I don't remember slaughtering any innocents recently (our massacre of @ Waulkeen's Promenade was a while ago and he's had his abilities since).

If your armour is heavier than leather you can't stealth as a ranger - what other ranger abilities are you talking about?

That is a bummer. A few others have reported bug-like errors with greyed out spells/abilites and nor are they wearing armour etc.
What in the heck could be causing this? WHere have you just come from? And where are you now?

I am in the Asylum, just rescued Imoen and defeated the room full of kolbolds. He only had Entangle (which I never used, well once, and that resulted in all of my party member being held while the trolls we were fighting beat us to death....) and Cure Light Wounds. The Cure spell was helpful even if it only cured a couple of hit points.

I wonder if it has anything to do with the asylum (spell casters being locked up and what-not?).
The only times I remember casting spells there are during the break out in Bodhi's maze and in the battle with 'renicus - not while I was incarcerated.
Anyone else?

When you remove the armor, can you cast spells again (simple test)?

Right, but did he get level drained below 9th by a vampire, vampiric mist, etc. and you cast restoration on him to restore those lost levels?
This was a big sticking point for my paladin character, because I'd have all my spells memorized before combat, but those vampires (and all those other level draining creatures) would level drain me, so I'd lose them all. When I had someone else cast restoration on me, I'd have to re-memorize those spells, because the spell slot would be empty. It's similar to going up a level and not yet memorizing new spells.

Krom: I think you may have just answered my question, thank you. I don't remember how low Minsc got by level drain, but I know it was pretty damn low. So all I have to do is re-memorize eh? Not too bright of me....

Foul: But go into your spell book first and make sure you have the right spells chosen. Level drains remove the spells, and when you are restored, the spell slots on the left are empty (the ones that you lost).
