I've noticed in one or two posts how you all thought Irenicus had depth and he's kind of pitible (which is true) and how Saverok was cheap evil. Well I thought, pointless in a way, does anyone remember in Baldur's Gate I outside the Flaming Fists barracks a women claimed to be his lover and his evil was sperd on by an evil women. Wouldn't that have been a much better, grander, more complexe storyline, he could still be the Son of Murder but it would have added more depth. She only appeared at the very end so it was pretty pointless haveing her there. Oh well, it's to late to change it

Tomoko (yes it is her name, I did not kill her) did love Sarevok but he is trying to became the new god of murder (fat chance) and before the final battle she does understand that he is evil, his evil is more that Bhall blood.
Irenicus is a diferent type of bad guy, he is just trying to became a God (fat chance of he joining the seldarine) as well, he just uses your character to serve his purpose.
We just see more of irenicus that sarevok but I pity Sarevok, he meet the wrong people(his father as a example) and became like that. Irenicus is diferent, he is a elf and he trows away what elves stand for (the drows, what he does to his people, Bodhi the vampire [she is also a elf, and elves hate the undead], I cannot have any pity for him, at least Sarevok did have the calling of the Bhall blood, Irenicus is just a selfish bastard.

If you recall correctly, you kill Tamoko in the baldur's gate underground, just before you go into beat the hell out of sarevok.

So, unless theres some weird AD&D rule stating that dead women can still give birth, well, I think the chances of what your proposing Kieran_Frost are a little on the slimmish side

Drakron: that's an interesting theory about Sarevok's evil nature being the result of his environment. You propose that maybe he would have been "good aligned" if he was raised by Gorion as well?

Whilst Irenicus had more depth than Sarevok, I didn't find him very pitiable - the guy stole my PC's soul for starters, and killed many sundry bystanders while furthering his own evil aims.

Sarevok, likewise, does not earn my sympathy (tough about the upbringing, but that's no excuse for his behaviour).

Tamako, IIRC, forces combat prior to the final conflict with Sarevok. You get a nice suit of armour after you dispose of her.

Let's not forget that the aim of the games is to destroy these guys - there's no option to try and rehabilitate them.

I feel sorry for Irenicus a little because he didn't really understand previlege he had even at the end of his life, and wanted more than he should and could.

In regards to Tomoko, I didn't kill her. I chose never to kill anyone, Evil or not if I can avoid it. Not because my characters can't handle it, they could easily, but because IT'S WRONG. I never kill those who were forced into it, or have it coming. If they attack me I have no choice but other wise I let them go. Since the game forces you kill kill the REALLY evil guys, the balance of good and evil is kept.
