Considering the people who frequent these message boards, this is kind of a silly poll to run.

I may not actually pay money for IWD2. A neighbour and I have been taking turns buying BG, BG2, IWD and all of the appropriate expansion packs, and I think it's his turn to buy the next one (I bought ToB), so I may not actually be paying for it.

Beta testers don't have too.

From what I have played and tested, the game is well worth the money.

Meh

From what I've read it sounds like it's going to have all the plots twists of Warcraft I :) Until I hear something extraordinary I'm not going to buy it. The screenshots are horrible, I realize the game is still in it's early stages but eeww! And this whole hybrid 2nd/3rd edition thing is just f-ing ridiculous.

I had my doubts also, but when I tested it. I was surprisingly pleased. There probably will be twik here and there. But, in the end result, good game.

Right now, with screenshots of Morrowwind and NWN. I have not been too excited to run out and buy those games.

I'll just take IWD2 for the time being.

That's not a very convincing argument Dragon...

I'm just sick of D&D games that just don't cut it...

BGII/TOB (own them) - without the patches and Mr. Kevvy's fix it's almost unplayable, literally. Not to mention gapping plot holes, dungeon layouts spawned by a mental patient (speaking from a purely design perspective, with a few expections), repetitive backgrounds, and the fact that there was not enough "great" equipment for every class. Still bought it, but next game I'm going to be extremely picky.

Pool of Radiance (Borrowed and played through) - Visually it basically has everything I could ask for/have asked for, but in terms of variety and general diversity it's completely lacking. Not enough equipment, not enough unique looks for equipment, and not enough monsters. Areas/Dungeons were not large enough. And on top of all that, the GUI was terribly NOT user friendly.

I agree, with you on that point. There needs to be a fresh approach on games. Not slap them out, sell them, and then patch them to play better. I don't know how many games, I have bought that were disappointing.

Exactly

That's all I ask for, a company the will finally sit down a take the time to do it right the first time and without going totally overboard (outrageous). Basically like most made for console RPGS, if I have to name names... Final Fantasy.

One I found really disappointing was Throne of Darkness. Game was like playing PoR. Very buggy.

I like the whole ancient japan theme, though. You know what PC RPG I really liked and have yet to see something close... Revenant! Not exactly great in terms of story [though not bad either] and the end was a little disappointing, but I still had a lot of fun playing it with no real complaints except for those listed. I hate Eidos personally (Tomb Radier *gags*).

It will be interesting to see, what else is going to be out there. The question is, will it be worth buying.

To me, IWD 2 will be. Some of the others, we have to wait and see.

Well, back to work. It's been nice chatting with you.

Maybe

I had a hard time getting the first one out of the box. It has been out a few times and still have not been able to finish it off. So I think I will what and see what the game is going to be like. I like a little more story.

I'm Probably gonna burn it (oooohhhh.... ;) ), since i think 45 euro's is WAY to much for a pc game (lucky i don't own a console :) )
