Is that a "yes" or a "no"!?GB: Is there any new information on how the Official Vault will be maintained? With your recent publisher changes, do you still intend to make the official servers free of charge?
Greg: We’ve been spending a significant amount of time in the last few weeks planning out how our community site is going to work. In short, it’s going to be very impressive. We are creating a location that all players of Neverwinter Nights will gather and exchange information. We’ll have more information on this as it develops.

I hope (think) what they are talking about is not a possible play-2-play community - but rather the official vault-community.
But even if that went "to pay" for - it would still be a big set back for NwN and it would find it harder to compete with DAoC and the "free games".
This is once again the patented: We'll have to wait and see - answer (hmm - getting tired of that one

We're past "tired" of that one..., but it's sooooo useful these days!Originally posted by Xandax

I would be very shocked if they made such a drastic change to their marketing plans at this point. It has always been free to play NWN and that was one of their big selling points. I doubt they'll change that at all. They're as likely to make it with the infininty engine as they are to switch it to pay-to-play, IMO.

Vicsun, I certainly agree with your assertion that you are an unpleasant person. ~Chanak
