I agree with your request to define 'new' though, I have seen one or two votes for Nippy. Not that I want to detract from what he offers SYM - the man deserves his votes - it is just he has been around for ages !

) I would consider 'new' those registered in the last couple of months? or those who joined SYM in the last couple of months....

yeah...I think 2000 posts+ puts Nips way out of the Rising Star cateogry....maybe below 800 should be the limit?

Posting 10 posts a day (as quite a few people do) would put someone on summit like 6000 posts since 2000....I think the limit needs taken down a bit. also...how many posts has AlienBob had?
maybe he should get a vote as lurker of the year, although I remember the commotion (to the tune of about 5 pages) that was caused last time just cos Ubik WANTED A NEW PC GAME!!!!! when the man cures cancer the world will end...

also actually can I vote DD for Rising Star...

I think Ysh should be disqualified...her recent hugging shenanigans are reducing the once proud SYMina males to the state of a bunch of school boys....the things a woman in leather can get away with

In all seriousness, the forum rules (see link at top of page) are sensible and ask nothing more than a little consideration and some common sense. The mods here are generally easy going, if you over step the mark you will receive a warning - if you persist, you will become the proud owner of a 'banned' title under your name
