BG3

Post by Kieran_Frost »

In regards to NPC's in BG3, I think there should be a whole tone of NPC's, BUT each character can only recriut say ten out of fifty. Each NPC has a certain reason not to join, if you have a good team, no evil characters can join, if Elf, no Drow will join and so on. It would make replaying the game even more fun, since new characters and weapons will be used. Plus throw in more NPC's Who Go Bad, yes the twist with Yoshimo was good Image

I'd much rather have a smaller number of NPCs and have lots more NPC interation and dialogue.

personally, of course i'd love to see BG3 would be released, but think of the story lin, the BG2 expansion already has a name of Torne of Bhaal, that gives us little clues what would be going on, alot of ppl on this board already said that would be the end of the series, or at least the character you've built.

anyway, too many NPCs is not good, just keep it simple

It took em long enough to just do the 15 or so NPC's in BG2! I plan on playing BG3 before the year 3000, so I think 50 NPC's is a BAD idea!

It's just not feasible considering all the dialogue and so forth involved. Not to mention each has their own quests and stories... too much to ask for I'm sorry.

I would like if they gave us a wide variety of NPC's to choose from, but that doesn't mean they have to include every possible type under the sun. Just as long as they have a decent Thief NPC! YOSHIMO BUGGED THE CRAP OUTTA ME! Image

The threat of skunks or matrimony often catalyzes this reaction.

I think that there should be around 20 NPCs, maybe a little more...and they should have AT LEAST as much depth as the NPCs in BG2. And there should be many NPCs from BG2...and the PC should be able to meet Keldorn, when he's living a peaceful life 8) Jaheira, Minsc and Boo should definitely be in the sequel! Image
Centuries ago in England........It was an era of chivalry and magic. The evil Prince John unleashed an iron fist of tyranny upon the people. They called out for a champion.........one man answered that call. His name, was Robin Hood. Fearless in his quest for justice Robin Hood challenged the power of the high warlords. While protecting the helpless and the poor. Willing to face death for what he believed, along with the beautiful, lady warrior, Jaheira, the mighty Minsc, and the wise Keldorn. Robin Hood forged a legend that lives on today in............

My opinion for BG3 would be a rematch with Irenicus but after defaeting him he could join us what do you gaus say ha two brothers fighting by the same side.

About the NPCs there should be one tipe of each class so that we can have a lot od choises and not stick with the same ones i dont mean that there is a lack of NPCs in BG2 but some are just so weak and useless!

50 NPCs just wouldn't work. Think of how long it took them to make the handful in BG2, and look at all the bugs they still have. For a while there Aerie could barely walk, and I could write a small novel about Jaheira's bugs. Frankly, I'd be happy if they just kept the cast from this game, threw in Xan and Yeslick, and made 'em all run smoothly.
