Does anyone know if you can get a good likeness of your own face using a flatbed scanner? it's either that or buy a camera.

Get a thick blanket (or similar and exclude the outside light with your face just above the glass (don't press hard against it) This works for photocopiers. Don't ask there are things you are better off not knowing. - Curdis !

by remarkable coincedence, I spent the whole of today's Graphics lesson posting scanned copies of my friends squished faces around the school. Even if 'ggod likeness' is not the word, I'm sure the comedy effect will be worth it

for us anyway

What about a proper Home Counties English accent?
